I would like to give Kudos to Gus for always being there to help out when there are computer problems. Last month we had a conference in the HP Auditorium and it wasn't Gus's job to help out. Gus, literally ran from office to office trying to find extension cords and laptops so we could connect through EECS wireless network instead. Also,he ran over to Soda Hall to make sure we connected properly and helped tape down phone lines to the floor so no one would trip. Without Gus help we would have not been able to continue with the conference. Gus really went above and beyond and is a excellent team player even if he's not on your team!

Nominee's Name: Jeanette Witt

Criteria: Problem Solver
Customer Service Example:
Jeanette solved a huge delivery problem. A customer needed a wafer delivery ASAP but didn't ask about the shipping process until after the international order had already been shipped from Taiwan, and by the wrong shipper and to Central Receiving instead of Cory. The customer basically asked, can everything be changed around, and *now*? Jeanette told us she would "check." To our delight she turned the entire problem around in ONE DAY. She informed us she had intercepted the delivery which had to clear customs. She got the University shipper, Air Sea Forwarders, to intercept Fed Ex, and got the delivery address changed to Cory instead of Central Receiving. To top it all off, she then got confirmation the wafer would be delivered to the customer, in Cory, the next day, which it was. I'm pretty sure the customer was delighted if not also shocked. Thank you so much, Jeanette!
